5cl - 1.75 oz. Lemon juice
3cl - 1 oz. Galliano
3cl - 1 oz. Homemade Oregat syrup
1 Egg white
2 Dashes of Angostura BitterDetails of the recipe
Rate this cocktail:
Dry shake with egg white.
Shake with ice.
Double strain in well chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with angostura
Père Magloire V.S.O.P. is notable because it is made only from cider from apples harvested in the Pays d’Auge. The character this soil gives the apples, combined with double distillation in copper stills, offers the V.S.O.P. richness and length. V.S.O.P. is blended from Calvados which has been aged in century-old oak barrels for at least four years.
I think there is too little use of Calvados in general.
Calvados is very gender neutral spirit, everyone can appreciate a good Calvados !
I used Pere Magloire V.S.O.P in my Normandie Treasure cocktail because I think it is a fantastic product. It is a very pleasant calvados with lots of apples in both flavour and aroma.
This cocktail can be appreciated both during a summer afternoon in the garden as a winter evening by the fire!
