Produced from a blend of Calvados varieties from the Pays d'Auge of which the age varies from 2 to 5 years, the Calvados Boulard Grand Solage is characterised by its apple fragrance and its amber colour. A smooth and fruity Calvados with an incomparable elegance and aromatic richness.
I am a bartender for 13 years now and it makes 6 months that I am part of the Lab team.
Boulard Grand Solage Calvados blends perfectly with many ingredients and liquors, so it is ideal for creating cocktails.
I chose these ingredients because pears bring out the flavor of the apple. Chamomile and cardamom are two seemingly opposite ingredients but they work very well together.
This cocktail is inspired by Flaubert's novel, Madame Bovary. One might think that this is only a women's cocktail to drink with friends, but it is also pretty strong cocktail that men also enjoy.
