3cl - 1oz. of Calvados Père Magloire 12 years old


2.5cl - 0,75oz. of Bombay dry  Gin


3cl - 1oz. of apricot brandy


1,5cl - 1/2oz. of spiced apple and port syrup

The recipe

Shake all the ingredients together and strain in a chilled Martini glass.
 

Syrup:

Cook 1 litre of tawny port with 1kg of sugar, red apples and spices.

I have been working at the rivoli bar for one year and six months.

The Père Magloire 12 years old Calvados reflects the essence of the apple flavours, with an intense yet delicate flavour. Warm finish with hints of spice.

This cocktail pre-dates prohibition in the United States but stories about its origins are fuzzy and conflicting at best.
It reminds me of spring flavours, blossoming trees and beautiful feelings.
